Arsenal are hoping to announce Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s new contract.
The Londoners hope to complete the deal before the Premier League season starts.
According to The Mirror, Aubameyang has agreed a new £250,000-per-week deal to commit his future to the club.
And Mikel Arteta hopes the contract will be signed before his side face Fulham on September 12.
Gabon international Aubameyang scored in Saturday’s Community Shield triumph over Liverpool.
Arsenal fans are understandably desperate for Aubameyang to sign his new deal as the club looks to break into the top-four this season.
And speaking after the win at Wembley, Arteta said he was ‘very positive’ about the 30-year-old agreeing on an extension.
